A Collector Name
'Gustaf Nyholm' is a modern collector label, not a securely documented historical model name. The actual manufacturer is unknown.
Construction
A full-width decorative bar slides laterally across the top, alternately stopping and releasing two German movements. The dials use upper seconds indicators rather than conventional flags.
Provenance
One example reportedly served as a 1935 tournament prize, and similar clocks appear in Uppsala tournament photographs from the 1940s.
Historical Significance
The clock reveals a recognizable Swedish design family in which imported German mechanisms were given a locally distinctive case and switching system.
